Background

The A-26 Bloodhound V2 is a double-seat, twin turbofan engine, inverted gull-wing jet aircraft developed by Rodion for the Federation Royal Airforce. The A-26 was designed for close air support of friendly ground troops, attacking armored vehicles and tanks, and providing quick-action support against enemy ground forces, entering service in 1970. Its secondary purpose is to perform as a forward air controller/airborne (FAC-A) support, by directing other aircraft in attacks on ground targets. Aircraft in this role are designated OA-26.
