Ade Irma Suryani Nasution (February 19, 1960 – October 6, 1965)[1][2] was the youngest daughter of General Abdul Haris Nasution. Ade was killed in the September 30th Movement incident which attempted to kidnap Abdul Haris Nasution. Five-year-old Ade was shot while trying to be her father's shield. In the incident, Abdul Haris Nasution's aide, Pierre Tendean, was also killed.

Before she died, Ade was treated at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital in Central Jakarta. However, her life could not be saved. She died on October 6, 1965.[3] The government built a monument at her final resting place, in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, right next to the South Jakarta Mayor's Office. On front of her tombstone, are written the words of the father, General A.H. Nasution. "My beloved son, you have fallen as your father's shield."[3]

Currently, her name is immortalized as the name of a street, a kindergarten, and an orphanage, in several regions in Indonesia. One of them is a playground and recreation park in Cirebon City which is named Taman Ade Irma Suryani Nasution.[3]"
