P-41A Riptide (Pusher Propeller Challenge)
P-41 Riptide
A new multi-role fighter...
A pusher propeller for a specific challenge. Issue being that I forgot to make it a successor ;-;
So... yeah, meet Riptide.
Regarding it's design, I sort of had the Vampire and OV-10 in mind, like an early Cold War plane (so, basically the Skyraider), but at the same time, I couldn't stop thinking about the PF-19 Siege (shown below)
One of my earliest planes, but mostly overlooked. The PF-19 was mostly forgotten until it redeemed itself in the Monarchii War.
So... flying.
For the most part the controls are simple. However, some (important) things to note are:
-Use flaps when taking off. The aircraft can take off without flaps, but it will take significantly longer and/or require more strain on the aircraft.
-Don't land too hard. Between the volatile state of custom landing gear and the risk of shredding its coaxial propellers, always land gently.
-Don't slam the brakes as soon as you land. Feather the brakes and manipulate VTOL and pitch in order to land safely. Failure to do so can result in the aircraft flipping over.
-NEVER fly close to a target while using the bombs, because they're basically sub-atomic weapons that can easily friendly-fire you.
Now, this aircraft has some unique features, here they are:
Activation groups 2 and 3: Drop payload
Activation group 7: Open canopy
Activation group 8: Lights toggle
And uh yeah that's pretty much it, a pretty nice fighter/bomber that's quite fast. Not sure why coaxial propellers = 701 mph top speed TAS (just kidding I know exactly how but I won't tell). There's lore to the plane but now is not the time.
Have some extras now.
It has its own theme now, deal with it

@SPsidearm Don't worry lol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover oh shit me bad
@SPsidearm
Key words: 'like an early Cold War plane'
'early cold war plane'
uses the old US markings
@Shebke aight
@TheUltimatePlaneLover when you close gear, it goes through doors. I can make that they close after gear is retracted and open before gear is extended again. So it would look more smooth and realistic.
@Shebke Thanks :D As for the gear, sure, what do you have in mind?
@TheUltimatePlaneLover Great work! It looks fabulous and its easy to fly, but I noticed that you don't have timed landing gear and its doors. I can fix that for you if you're interested.
@SilexPT Sure
Can I upgrade it? I'll mark you
Noice
@Karroc9522 Thanks :D
Wow, this looks really good. Nice cockpit btw!
@TheUltimatePlaneLover oh okk
@SuperSuperTheSylph No, I just take ingame functions and put "Simple" in front of them lol
e.g.:
-SimplePhysics (ingame physics)
-SimpleFeatures (ingame features/limits)
-SimpleBugs (ingame errors and such)
-SimpleMemes (elaboration not needed)
I can't use mods because I play on iPad, occasionally Phone, I use Chromebook for typing
@TheUltimatePlaneLover SimpleFeatures?a mod?
@Hahahahaahahshs Nice
ima give it a 9/10
pretty good
@TheMouse
True, I have yet to build it cause I know this much about building effective walkers, but I might build a weapon to surpass Metal Gear, rival to Vertigo Man
@TheUltimatePlaneLover no problem :D
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
Never, he is scared of that… thing.
However, when I post that challenge, (I am still typing it out) we may have some kind of an army to work with.
@TheMouse
Eh, maybe a bit lol, still made this thing in like one day (although it took me about two to post to unlisted and three to post publicly, PEAK PROCRASTINATION)
Propeller man still scares me though, when is he gonna 1v1 Vertigo Man?
@LoganTheGameDev Thank you :D
