thnx for the upvote @Mumpsy
@Milo1628xa Thanks! Here is an example of the kind of torture I'm doing to your design: http://www.simpleplanes.com/a/VDR3M5/DroneFuture-wip-2.
It should fly at about a 10 feet/second climb. I moved the gyro, cockpit and other stuff to make them easier to adjust, and experimented a bit with color and windows.
Oh, I've got the Show AoA mod on it so I can check to see the climb rate as I adjust the hinges. I can repost it without the Show AoA mod if you wish.
@atgxtg when you select to share on the game, you get to add a description and pictures. There’s also an option to change the visability on that same screen, put the visability on unlisted.
@Milo1628xa How do I post unlisted?
@atgxtg if it ain't worth sharing, I still wanna see what you made, so you can just post as unlisted and put the link to the craft here in the comments
@Milo1628xa Thanks. I'll see what I can come up with. It might not be worth posting, though. Not all my ideas pan out.
Thnx for the upvote @Type2volkswagen
@atgxtg go ahead an make a successor if you want, I'd like to see what you are up to with it
@Milo1628xa Intesting. I worked with your design a bit and one of the firsts things I did was get rid of the forward thrust engines in the body. Instead I had the rear engines "fold" up behind the body, when activated, to provide forward thrust. Then I folded the front engines part way, when activated, so they could prove forward thrust and enough lift to keep it flying.
@atgxtg I wanted to put the engines as they are rn, except for the forwards thrust since I had something in mind but I couldn't put it in design Form. Like I said in my explanation, I made it, but less spectacular
@atgxtg I looked up futuristic car concepts on Google images, found the ZX5 from BMW, it has seats which extend out the aircraft, I also saw a Nissan consent on which the 2 front wheels looked a bit like the engines I put on my drone, recently, all my inspiration is coming from car concepts and got another idea coming up because of it. Also thnx for the upvote
Thnx for the upvote @WaffleCakes and @Kerbango
Nice. BTW, What was your inspiration and what did you want to do with the engines? I'm asking because I'm working on something similar.
@Texasfam04 I will thnx :D. Also thnx for the upvote and spotlight :D
You make very cool stuff! Keep it up !
@Milo1628xa No prob.
thnx for the upvote @TakicraftCorporation and @FastDan
This design was a bit of a hazzle to make if I'm honest. I had my inspiration (ty google images), went to start and when I was finished with the cockpit I got stuck.... as I always would at that point. My problem is with custom cockpits, they always turn out in such a way I can never make something nice and smooth around it and it took me a good while to get it fixed since also, the design would look extremely ugly in my oppinion after I furthered the design up to that point. I made it look better by adding a custom inlet at the front, hopefully you peeps like it too :D. The engines were also not really what I was hoping for at first but this can do. I made what I wanted, but not as spectaculair as I at first had in mind. Hopefully you peeps think differently and absolutely love it but that's just a wait and see matter. Anyways enjoy the craft :D
@Jengstrom I wasn't even finished with the instructions in the description.... that is FAST! thnx for the upvote
