McDonnell Douglas MD-87 Iran Air Tour
This aircraft with serial number 49829 was built in the Long Beach facility in America and made its first flight on 02/03/1990. On 30/03/1990 it entered the fleet of the Spanish company Iberia with the registration EC-292 and cabin layout CY116, but three months later its registration was changed to EC-EUC. On 28/01/1998 it was re-registered as EC-GRM and continued to fly to Iberia until 17/10/2007. On this date, it was leased to Spanair and flew for this company until 01/27/2009 with CY125 cabin layout.
Then went to South Africa with registration ZS-TRJ and cabin layout Y134 and was first leased by 1Time, then purchased by Gryphon Airlines from 12/13/2013. In 2015, it was chartered to Golden Wings in South Sudan for four months, in 2017 to Afghan Safi Airways for two months, and in 2018 to TunisAir Express for two months. The aircraft was parked at Chalon-Vatry Airport in France from 18/04/2019 to 05/05/2020 with the registration F-HEVE. During this period, it was purchased by the leasing company Jet Express Holdings and while changing the register to I2-HEVE, its cabin will also become VIP. Then it was transferred to Epinal-Miricourt airport in the same country and parked there.
With the beginning of the measures to transfer this aircraft to Iran, Itda was purchased by Philippe Denis Salles in August 2023 and the M-ABSB register was assigned to it. Then on 08/23/2023 [corresponding to September 1, 1402], it entered Payam Airport in Karaj as the country's first MD-87, and joined Irtur Airlines with the EP-MDV register some time later. The plane finally started its flights to Irtur on May 26, 1403.
The flight time of this plane when entering Iran is 46,609 hours in the form of 35,998 flight cycles, and its cabin layout is Y130.
