Credits to @Blamechan for inspiring me to step up my missile game, come back to building ships pls
Geister Kestrel
The Kestrel is a twin engine, VTOL-capable fighter aircraft. The Kestrel was designed to be a fleet or convoy defender, meant to operate from the decks of cruisers that escorted these fleets when carriers were not present. They saw extensive use during the Grand Expeditions, where they served aboard cruisers and carriers. As these expeditions died down, the number of convoys and expedition fleets quickly dwindled, the use of Kestrel was no longer needed, and with the introduction of long range interceptors and multirole aircraft aboard aircraft carriers, the Kestrel was soon relegated to other missions.
Due to the vast number of Kestrels produced, they were still in use though now in limited number. They were kept as a multirole fighters aboard the Providence-class heavy cruisers, and were used as attack aircraft on land.
Armaments
AAM-105 Flechette
The primary air to air armament of the Kestrel. The Flechette sacrifices range and explosive mass in exchange for maneuverability and payload capacity, allowing Kestrels to carry four of them. The small warhead of the Flechette may result in requiring multiple missiles in taking down an enemy target, but a well placed shot can knock it out of the sky.
AAM-113 Fencer
A medium-range semi-active radar guided missile. It has a maximum range of 33 kilometers. It is the weapon of choice during interceptions, and is usually carried in pairs or fours by the Kestrel.
ASM-210 Broadhead
An air to ground missile designed for close air support. The Broadhead can use a variety of guidance systems and warhead types. Kestrels carried the Broadhead during patrols or use against surface targets, and became its primary air to ground weapon when it was relegated as an attack aircraft.
GR.30 Gunpod
The Kestrel lacked an internal gun due to its design, necessitating the need for an external gunpod. The 30mm cannon utilized a fused round, and the pod itself carried 210 rounds.
Instructions
Ag.1 - Activates the Gyro and Nozzles for VTOL
Ag.7 - Open Canopy
VTOL - Down to deploy flaps and point nozzles down
Trim - Trim
The Gyroscope is not working at full power, so you still need to balance the aircraft with pitch and roll during vertical flight.

Close Air Support Loadout
A simple multirole aircraft which I based off a quick drawing while in class, not 1:1 but it is what it is.
Enjoy!

just how high were you when you made this?
lol I low-key thought it was a modified harrier for a sec. Amazing plane!
@ALRX my specialty
amazing, i can now count the frames on my PC using my fingers
@UnguidedCylinder @UnguidedCylinder thank you
@UnguidedCylinder
Can't argue with that
@lazerguidedmissile i love it tho
Why's it like a harrier got a botched rhinoplasty and then sewed a mig-15/17 nose onto it
Absolute monstrosity
@Rakoval500k don't worry, I don't intend to stop
@SleepyKitty and it's mine
@RepublicofKomi no problem, take care and good luck with your knee
Author, please don't stop and make more such things. Weird Aircraft Matter! I actually think that ability of making such stuff is one of the main appealing features of this game.
ts should stay in kerbal space program 🥀
@UnguidedCylinder
No offense, but it's pretty ugly
@UnguidedCylinder I've just seen it before your comment. I've accepted the friend request
In which i see him an a week or tow
@UnguidedCylinder will do it might be a while before I can start testing cause my surgeon has to clear me to be able to after knee surgery
i am disgusted, have an upvote.
@RepublicofKomi thank you for the offer, if I ever get to it then I shall tag ye
@ElTruenito Aye noted, I always design my cockpits to be within arm distance based on the seat model. I sent you a DC friend request, It be ManaRese
@UnguidedCylinder In that case, you can try making the cockpit and a working base before the details. In that way, the VR stuff can be tested before requiring better equipment. Quest II have about the same power as mobile, so keep that in mind. Also, the seats are prebuilt to be VR compatible, just adjust the rest of the cockpit within arm distance
@MobileBuilder21 thank you. Regardless of the design, you can always expect me to try make the build quality and details as best as I can make it
looks like BMW💀
@ElTruenito noted on the simpler builds but no promises. I'm notorious for being the opposite of simple
