A 1941 prototype interceptor built to aid in the defence of Great Britain. It was designed for rapid climbing, where upon reaching altitude it'd tear attacking bombers apart with its two heavy cannons mounted in its nose. The rear propeller gives the pilot a clear line of sight, at the cost of sometimes troubled stability, especially on landing.
The nose was notoriously heavy in flight.
Ultimately, the lack of need along with the aforementioned faults resulted in the project's cancellation, though the prototypes did still see active combat service.
