Description

The KpfPzW Vollzieher II tank is a 57 tonne main battle tank (MBT) designed and manufactured by Windsor Industries for the Wehrmacht of the Großwesterlandisch Reich to replace the aging KpfPzW Vollzieher I. It was designed to counter the next generation of Serovskian MBTs, it is known as the Europäischer Panzer. this particular version is the Ausf.A, an early production tank similar to the M1A1. It was produced from 1980 until the present day.

History

As the Vollzieher I was just entering service, the Westerlandian military was interested in developing an improved tank in the next coming decades, By the early 70s after seeing intel on the new Serovskian MBTs it was clear that it was time to develop a new tank to counter Serovskian MBTs.

With this information in mind, a specification for a new MBT was made in 1974 called (Neuepanzerenwicklung) it which specified for a "Main Battle Tank capable against a new generation of tanks and warfare which increasingly relied on urban warfare as well as the capability for future upgrades." The initial plan was a joint MBT project between Windsor Industries (Großwesterlandisch Reich), Ateliers de construction d'Nevers (Franchean State) and Urzethov Factory (Serovskian military district (puppet state of Großwesterlandisch Reich)) but the development of the tank was terminated because it was well overbudget for all parties that involved on the project.

Therefore, the Westerlandian government issued an order to Windsor Industries to research on a new project based on the specifications of the Neuepanzerenwicklung in 1975. 4 years later in 1979, the research was finalized, the tank was to put on a trial on Graufstadt But it was accelerated because of an border war between Serovskian military district and the Union of Serlovsk Soviet Republic. The tank was finished on 1980 and it was immediately put on combat. It was very effective at combat, it was so effective that the Serovskians call it the "zver' iz Graufshtadta" (Beast of Graufstadt) because of its 150mm gun and heavy armor

Armaments and Protection

The main armament on Vollziehers was an autoloading 15cm KwK L/44 produced by Metallwerk AG with an stabilizer and an advanced fire control system. It can fire a variety of ammunition such as APFSDS, Depleted Uranium APFSDS and Anti Tank guided missiles called "Elenor".

The secondary armament of the KpfPzW Vollzieher II is the MG74 which is an updated version of the MG42 mod.1946.

As for the protection it uses an composite Armour called "Sandwich" composite armour, as the name implies that it composed of thick ceramic plates sandwiched between steel plates with an elastic material of unknown origin in between the steel and ceramic plates, it was theorized that the elastic material is a fusion between plastic and silicone. Later versions of the tank uses an extra armour on its sideskirts and on the turret

The KpfPzW Vollzieher II uses the  PzHL-275 27.5 liters liquid cooled turbocharged V-12 diesel engine with 1500hp at 2,000 rpm and 3690 Nm at 2,100 rpm with an 10 speed automatic transmission
