Aero L-29 Bomber
The Czechoslovakian Aero L-29 Delfin was the standard jet trainer of the Warsaw Pact countries during the 1960s.
It was easy to fly, undemanding and pretty popular. 3.665 Delfins were built. 2.000 of them served in the Soviet air force. They were also exported to many third world countries. Some Delfins take part in air races.
Maximum speed during level flight: 660 kph.
The Nigerian air force attached two FAB-100 bombs to the pylons and used their Delfins as ground attack aircraft during the infamous Biafra war between 1967 and 1970.
