The R/M-300 (R/M-30X) is a TEL (transporter erector launcher) for cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, anti-aircraft / -spacecraft missiles, and shield disruptor missiles.
It is based on a 5-axle chassis. All axles are powered but only the front two axles have steering. Electric and Diesel variants are available.
The cabin has 3 seats, for a driver, missile operator and radio operator. One crew member can however fulfil multiple roles. Part of the LHI Spacetruck Program, the windows are made of very thick bulletproof glass.
The vehicle can hold two missiles. Each missile, when in unarmed, must be less than 1100 mm in diameter and less than 18.0 m long. It can be noted that the ladders on the sides of the structure are used by the crew to enter and exit the vehicle; there would normally be a removable panel on the frame the ladders are mounted on.
This launcher takes roughly 30 seconds to fully switch between armed and drive modes. It is important that the terrain chosen as a launch location has less than 10 degrees of incline for the stabilisers to function correctly.
For safety, the vehicle is limited to a speed of 30 mph.
