HAMEKA Ha-100 Cyclops (Early)
Haganejin Project
First-Generation Full Articulation Combat Frame
Rank: IV

Most components require 1.9.

"You could say this thing walks pretty... funky"
~Nacchan

The Ha-100 Cyclops is one of the first Full Articulation Frames. Its humanlike proportions make it natural to operate.

--- USER MANUAL ---

CONTROLS:
Pitch - Walk
Roll - Turn (when walking or in air only)
Throttle - Jump Engines (note 1)
Brake - Landing Mode (note 2)
AG1 - Activate Rifle
AG1+Trim - Aiming Elevation
AG1+VTOL - Aiming Traverse

1: Affected by a field modifier for greater responsiveness. 0~10% --> 0 to 1, 11~100% = 1. Remove from the VTOL Engine if not wanted.
2: Quickly reduces horizontal speed. Apply slowly at high speeds.

( i ) The walking is fully automatic; it is carried out by Funky Trees. While walking cycles are smooth, there will be jerking on start and end of walking, due to rotators trying to switch between idle and walking modes.

( i ) The machine contains unused joints and rotators that can be used to program poses. Many parts also have "axle" parts that can be rotated in-editor with the precise rotation tool.

( i ) So this thing has been sitting in storage for a long time, the head is the first thing to be built and is probably 3+ months old. Glad to finally get it out... lol

--- End USER MANUAL ---

The Ha-100 "Cyclops" is one of the first Full Articulation Frames to ever be built and tested in the United World Bloc. It is designed by Hayashi's Machine Laboratory (HAMEKA) to be a support machine that can deliver long-range firepower quickly to any location. The design that mimics human proportions closely, as opposed to older Combat Walkers, factors into its ease and intuitiveness of control.

Information (Ha-100 Early Prod., straight stance):
Height: 17.22 m
Length: 6.02 m
Width: 7.84 m
Mass: 35 t
Crew: 1 (0~1 with options)
Units Built: 20 (7x self-use)
Unit Price: $40 million

Development started as long ago as the 2050s. Using prior innovations with human movement simulation, HAMEKA developed the first miniature tester models and quickly upscaled it to full production size in 2066. From then, the first prototype, designated HX-1, was built and exhibition tests were carried out to great public appeal.

The HX-1 continued to be tested in real combat, and its appearance on the battlefield seemed to have worked as a form of psychological warfare. However, it did not prove to be better than traditional weaponry in most combat cases, and the prototype program was shelved.

Over a decade later, the HX-1 prototype program was revived, using newer technology, and it proved competent in warfare. The improved design was designated Ha-100 and received the string-name "Cyclops", after the single fire-control radar style of its head. While praised for being manouverable and simple to pilot, it was criticized for its small fuel tanks and quickly-overheating rocket engines, which limited thruster use to short jumps.

The Ha-100 can carry one or two ranged weapons, and has the ability to carry additional weapons on its back with extra pylons. A parallel-developed 120mm autocannon is the standard armament of the Ha-100. While the stock of the gun module is specific to the Ha-100's arm, adapters exist for most other HAMEKA machines. Later versions of the Ha-100, with new powerplants, carried a gun that, while similar in the appearance of the outer shell, fired plasma bolts and was powered directly be the powerplant.

Due to the limited technologies of the time, the early versions did not gain traction in the arms market. However, at the beginning of the 22nd Century, when full-humanoids started to become the most popular form of advanced combat machine, retrofitted Ha-100's were a common sight to their low price.
