Project 8125-01

Auto Credit Based on Griffon1's Project 8121

The moderate success of Project 8123 saw various users across a wide area. A successor was soon conceived, to eventually replace Project 8123. Phoenix Industries wanted to keep the advanced radar and avionics of 8123, so they decided to reuse many of the forward fuselage parts for their newest Project.
With XS planes and their laser cannons providing excellent firepower against ground and air targets, Phoenix Industries decided to develop a laser of their own.
What better to do when developing two technologies at the same time than to integrate them. Project 8125-01's rear was built from the ground up to handle a massive, heavy duty, weaponized industrial laser on a large trapeze system between engines.
This laser, possessive of insane firepower, easily makes short work of any target. It's red beam carves a trail of destruction across the ground.
Project 8125-01 comes not only with a massive laser, but some other weapons as well, including XAGMs, and QAAMs. It also comes with four standard MSLs and Model 014 revolver cannons.
Project 8125-01's speed characteristics are insane, it's top speed upward of 2,000 mph; It's acceleration is something to be desired, though.
It's maneuverability at high speeds is also superb, able to compete with it's XS series competition, which is known for their maneuverability. However, the low speed agility is quite poor.
One thing to note is the tiered flap system. At low speeds, a main portion of the flaps are lowered to maintain lift, but at even lower speeds an additional wing section lowers to augment the lift further.
This is model -01, the version intended to be outfitted with the laser, the other model, -02, omits the laser in favor of greater maneuverability and mechanical simplicity.

And I made a new emblem Yaaaaaay

The reason it says it's a successor of 8121 rather than 8123 is because I use 8121 as a base for many of my planes now.

And I also forgot the purple wingtips. wonderful.

@Nexy12 oh, why thank you! Anyways, I think the engine pack is a good idea, even though 8125 is already very fast as it is

@Griffon1 Well what about keeping the pod stationary and adding an engine pack?
I would love to see it with some super high speeds. (By the way I sent you a friend request on discord)

@Nexy12 Indeed. I have actually been experimenting with that sort of thing, but I can't really find anything else to use it for... Perhaps I should try retrofitting a bunch of old weapons onto it, like my railgun or ADMM models, and see if it works. I'd like to make a ton more missiles in a massive pod but I try to keep to the Ace Combat's system of 3 "Special" weapons per plane, so I dont end up having a billion missiles and lagging mobile or low-end devices.
(Also, on the topic of Miranda-class starships, It's an unpopular opinion that I like it without the pod)

I'll run some experiments and see if they are different enough to warrant a model -03

Hey, maybe you could replace the laser cannon with a weapons pack a or engine pack? This design has a bunch of opportunities. It's a real Miranda Class of your designs.
