Bulky unmanned air object equipped with three null-G field emmiters, strong gyroscope system and a couple of thrusters as a main propulsion. Armed with thermal laser and short range missiles it possesses an equal threat for both air and ground vehicles. Behaves as a hybrid between a gunship and classic strike-craft with an exceptional control over the altitude at any rotation angle.

  A lightweight for its type weapon system that produces a high energy thermal beam to melt through adversary's armor and chassis. Mounted on pop-up turret. Effective against air, ground, water-borne targets. Highly limited by energy reserves of the vehicle.

Turret has a freedom of 360 degrees in horizontal aim and go from 0 to 75 degrees for vertical aim. Fires a beam for small period of time.

• MRGM-8 -Ellipa-
  

  Multi-role guided missile with a limited range and weak payload but good at chasing smaller manouvering objects, preferrably aerial, due to small quantity.

Can lock-on only if target is closer than 2.8 km and farther than 0.4 km away, in 40 degrees diapason. Fires one every 2 sec. --Subsonic--.

• Ant.Gr Rig Type-01a -Alpha Dynami-
  

  A powerful assembly that keeps things out of touch. It creates a strong gravitational anomaly which, if stabilized, allows crafts to stay in air.

The Phaeton is equipped with 3 of them. They don't provide any kind of forces for travelling in environment but offer great altitude control.

- No strafe, no flying back, only forward and up or down, as the craft lacks any kind of support propulsion.
- The greater the speed and throttle the less the craft is affected by anti-gravity rings, thus becoming more manouverable.
- Throttle cutoff does not eliminates all speed instantly, get used to it to prevent possible collisions.
- When throttle is zero, you can control altitude with VTOL, at any rotation
- No camera view

In alternative universe

In year 2990 a dozen of Federation border worlds were assaulted by unknown rebel forces which used some Advent tech, although strongly modified (or, perhaps, twisted is more fitting).

There was a number of previously unidentified vehicle designs almost all of which used some sort of anti-gravity devices to hover just above the ground surface or high in the air and on low orbit. All of them were supposed to be studied and classified as their creators are still possess a threat to the Federation...

Extensive researches of their tech allowed ( not without help of the Advent ) to suggest that that these rebels are the remains of the Njeri, a clan that was claimed to completely disappear during the civil war...

While the anti-gravity technology is no surprise these days, devices that Njeri use perform quite differently. They create a sphere of null-gravity to keep the crafts in the skies and project a sort of force field which slows incoming ballistic projectiles for a bit. Also grant all-weather performance for all their air-capable vehicles.
