During the Battle of the Bulge weather made ground attack aircraft scarce. To bolster the hard pressed prop-powered force a squadron of Cyclones were called in from the hunter-killer wing at RAF Hornchurch. Equipped with 8 rockets the red and black fighters were highly successful, destroying many German tanks and armoured vehicles. Their distinctive roar was a welcome sound to the struggling allied forces on the ground and their accuracy second to only the powerful Hawker Typhoon. AG1 fires the rockets, AG2 switches on the landing lights and AG3 starts the jet engine.
