Table of Contents:
1. Overall description.
2.Buoy info.
3. Ski info.
4.Ski landing tips.

1. The Stratolab was a little experiment of mine, and this plane also marks the first time I have ever entered a contest/challenge. The Stratolab is an arctic exploration vessel that is especially useful for charting large ocean areas. It is equipped with 6 deployable buoys, and has skis that can land on snow, or even normal runways.

2. The bouys are located in the center of the craft. They will not survive deloyment if they are ejected above land. Deploying a buoy will also prove to be fatal to the pilot if he or she is not in flight. The bouys are equipped with orbit cameras.

3. The skis aren't for show. They actually work! They should be used when landing, but they cannot be used during takeoff. There is just too much friction.

4. You will find that landing with the skis can be easier than landing with normal landing gear. When you are on your final approach, feel free to cut the throttle. Then land as gently as you can. Try to have a shallow approach, too. Don't worry. The skis can actually take quite a beating. There is no need to brake when you land with the skis. The plane will come to a stop naturally.

If you read through that lenthy description, I'm proud of you. I am quite proud of this plane, and thought that this challenge was really fun to participate in.

@Aerobako Nothing special really. Just have them be thick, and make them curve up a bit at the front, so they don't snag on anything.
