SAAB J35F Draken
[About SAAB J35F "Draken"]
Wikipedia
The SAAB J35F "Draken" was a jet fighter operated by the Swedish Air Force.
With the commercialization of jet bombers in the 1940s, intercepting invading bombers at high speed became a challenge.
The Swedish Air Force was no exception, and in 1949 began development of a supersonic interceptor fighter. The specifications presented included specific Swedish requirements, such as STOL performance that would allow the aircraft to take off and land within 2,000 meters of a public road that could be used as a runway in an emergency, and rearming and refueling within 10 minutes.
To meet these high requirements, an unprecedented double-delta wing will be used. After some demonstrations using a small test aircraft, SAAB 210, the prototype made its first flight in 1955.
Named "Draken" (Swedish for "Dragon"), the J35 began serving in the Swedish Air Force in 1960. The Draken set several innovative records: in 1960 it became the first Western European fighter to reach Mach 2 speed. It was also the first fighter to perform Cobra maneuvers. Its appearance was unique and advanced, and it is said to be the forerunner of the strake and blended wing body.
The Draken was originally developed as a fighter, but due to its high performance, it was used in multirole roles, resulting in a number of variants, the F being the fighter variant with enhanced avionics and an infrared seeker, which reduced the number of machine guns to one.
In the end, 615 Drakens were produced, some of which were exported to Finland, Austria, Denmark, and other countries. Although the Draken was loved for its distinctive appearance, the Swedish Air Force retired the last one in 1999.

Well, this concludes my challenge for the "Classic Jet Challenge". This challenge has taught me the fun of building under the 200p limit and the fun of building jets. I would like to take this opportunity to thank WinsWings. (And I apologize for not building one of the US classic jets that inspired this challenge)
Do you not make cockpits anymore
Thank you, it's perfect for my potato pc.
Can the next plane be the Soviet Tu-2?
damn was hoping to see a Viggen next after you made that nice little Tunnan
Finally, you made a mobile friendly play for us mobile players, we would love if you released a mobile friendly version with every plane, so everyone is happy! (I would also love an accurate, mobile friendly fairy swordfish)
@AntonWings It is fine. No need to be a US Classic, any Classic jet of that era is fine. I was just using an aviable poster which happens to be a US planes only
somethin a little modern nice
@WinsWings
Yea, it's a Swedish dragon.
Hope you like it :)
@ariakenori
Thanks for the comment. I am honored that you enjoy my posts :)
oh boy, that's my favorite "Dragon" with the double delta wings
I was waiting for your next post. This is seriously the BEST!
