[BETA] F-22A Raptor V2.0b
Since the Raptor is going to take a long while due to univesity, I figured I'd release a beta version. This version doesn't have any missiles yet (among other details), so its mainly here so you can test the flight model and examine the build. It does have a gun though, so you can do IVR guns only dogfight testing. Any feedback would be appreciated as well. The final version might not be released for a month or two, but nothing is concrete at the moment. I expect the final version to be in the 500-600 part range.

The Advanced Tactical Fighter program, “Senior Sky,” led to a competition between Lockheed/Boeing/General Dynamics and Northrop/McDonnell Douglas, who developed the YF-22 and YF-23, respectively. Ultimately, the YF-22 was chosen for its better maneuverability and lower costs, despite lower speed and stealth capability. Further development resulted in the F-22A Raptor, a highly maneuverable and supercruise capable advanced fifth-generation stealth fighter. While the F-22A has had several modernization upgrades, F-22A production has ceased since 2012 due to rising costs and the lack of an equal potential adversary. Thus, the fleet of F-22A’s remains at 187, far lower than the projected 750.
Because of the advanced technologies of the aircraft, the only operator of the F-22A Raptor is the US. Australia, Japan, and Israel were interested in purchasing F-22’s, but due to the ban on exports, are now looking to purchase F-35’s instead, which were meant for international export and have more multirole capability.

Author's Notes
- Fuel and gun ammo is unlimited.
- On takeoff from runways, I recommend auto flaps with 50% trim. Get to around 300 km/h and give slight taps for the pitch to avoid tail striking. (For keyboard users)
- On landing, use the trim to achieve your glide slope and adjust using pitch. (For keyboard users)
- To cobra, slow to 600 km/h and apply 100% trim for overpitch. Then, disable overpitch by lowering trim to 25% and correcting with elevator.
- To perform a kulbit maneuver, slow to 300-400 km/h and pitch up. Once your AOA stabilizes, apply overpitch and full afterburner and finish the loop. You must be under 280 km/h at the height of your kulbit.
- To perform a herbst maneuver, slow to 300-400 km/h and brake. Pitch up while maintaining low throttle and rudder. Correct with aileron opposite of rudder.
- Capable of supercruise (supersonic without afterburner).
Known Issues
- The lead marker for the guns doesn't appear until firing.

FM felt fictitious to me but for all we know the Raptor can do the TVC Tom foolery.
