Ragsol class rigid airship
146k Feanor
8.4 years ago
Throttle for altitude control. Trim for propeller throttle. VTOL for propeller pitch control.
Takeoff instructions: Set throttle to around 50 to 60% and wait for the airship to gain some altitude. Set the VTOL slider to around 50% up and start the propeller engines.
Cruise: Leave the autopilot on and make sure that it does not fall
out of the sky.
Landing: Reduce throttle and wait for the airship to slowly descend. Ensure that the ground speed is close to 0 and reverse the propeller pitch if needed. Jettison bombs before landing at an altitude of at least 1000ft above the ground.
Be warned that if you get this off the ground, you will have a high chance of being rammed by a suicidal aircraft...
MTOW: 20,000lbs
