For the aircraft's original description, please refer to Riese Aero RF-10 D9 Taifun.
With more than 33,000 units of all variants combined, the Riese Aero RF-10 D-9 is a single-seater, medium-range, carrier-capable, multirole fighter powered by a liquid-cooled V12, was the most produced aircraft in the world.
As with all Trislandian designs, its most recognizable element was its CRP configuration. This was chosen intentionally because it not only makes better use of the engine's 3000 horsepower but also enables tremendous acceleration and high altitude capability. Additionally, because CRP cancels out torque, it is easy to operate both on the ground and in the air, despite the engine's high horsepower and torque.
Energy Fighting is the strongest suit, and it can outclimb, outdive, outspeed, and out-accelerate all aircraft except turbine-powered ones. This does not imply that it was not good at turn fighting, on the contrary; its small airframe and high power made it a plane that is just as capable of turn fighting other aircraft. It may be outmanuvered, but Taifun can always recover from minor errors.
