Chile's Hunter

Description

The Hawker Hunter is a British transonic jet designed in the late 1940s and entering service in the early 1950s to be an interceptor but further developed into other roles such as ground strike, reconnaissance and training. It was one of the fastest aircraft of its time thanks to the rolls royce Avon and the swept wing configuration.

Hunter in Chilean service

During the 60s and 70s Chile acquired several Hunter FGA.71, an export variant derived from the FGA.9, for service in the FACh. Some of the Hunters of squadron 7 were used in the 1973 Chilean coup against the democratically elected goverment.

The aircraft uses the paint scheme of hunters of squadron 8, stationed in cerro moreno, Antofagasta, 1988.

@Skxter circuit breakers are on the right. Elevator and tail power are on the top left if the center panel, external stores Jettison is on the top left panel. For the RPM I think it would be related to not doing all of the steps. Thanks for your input I'll make sure I have better startup guides for my next project

@Cheeseburger33 Where is the Circuit breakers, Elevator power and External stores Jettison, it seems I couldn’t find them and also I did most of the step and the aircraft could only reach around 1700 rpm. Thanks!

Best hunter on the site. Stunning build. Very realistic with the startup procedures. I’d love to see a 2 seat version from you! I hope this post gets some more attention.
