The B-74 Airbreak was designed to be a small, maneuverable aircraft that could take out light ground targets. It was used for a very short period of only 1956-1959. It prooved itself to be an effective killer, and was relatively easy to control and maneuverable. Although it's service record was short, it was golden. Each plane had taken out at least 150 targets in their lifetime with only 29 shot down in combat. It is now another plane that had a great record, but wasn't the "future aircraft" that was longed for.
