Heres my first ever and probably last attempt at a P-38. Halfway the build I figured out I couldnt mirror LOL. so ye took me like 1-2 weeks to get this done, especially getting the size right was hard.
Its my favourite plane so im happy it turned out good :).
Climb to 20000 ft to achieve a somewhat realistic top speed.
AG1 = Engine 1
AG2 = Engine 2
AG3 = enable nosewheel steering
AG4 = Drop bombs
AG5 = right missile rack
AG6 = left missile rack
AG7 = landing lights
Total build time: 35-40+ hours
Oh btw go easy on the pitch controls to avoid a stall

@Sunnyskies thanks!
Pretty good, mate. Looks thin though. Guess it got put on a diet!
Love the detail. Very fresh! The cockpit looks nice.
@BogdanX thx, yeah I mirrored the entire plane and it completely glitched out. didnt know you could mirror piece by piece tho lol
@RealQcan LOTS of finetuning..
@Visify how do you build like this???
@Sunnyskies, you need to check this one out!
@Kerbango thanks :p
I understand not being able to mirror the entire plane after a certain point. But you can mirror individual parts, if not on plane, you can pull it off, mirror it, and the put it back on, and you only have to worry about positioning not size. You can also mirror assemblies whole as long as they aren't connected to the cockpit/plane. Great job!
@ChiChiWerx oops LOL thanks anyway
Nice build, spotlighted!...I would have put the insignia with the point up (forward) 😀
Sweet job m8!
@Visify eh no problem ... i remember that when i was building a MLRS an undo Happened that caused me to redo 5 hour effort again XD since when i used to make many backups and Np :D
@FennVectorCWA yeah especially the undo button lol I
click it once and it goes back 10 steps lmao, thanks for the tips tho.
@Visify Lol i know that issue ... there are too many scenarios your CoM , CoL and CoT Ends up in a one side ..while the other side looks connected ( it looks colored ( connected) while it should be silver/white ( unconnected) )
or you pressed the crappy Undo Button ( that undo(s) a previous undo putting you in an infinite cycle of Undo(s) that causes horrible issues
or fine tunner because of Scaling , and puting some parts at a specific position and changing their visual location somewhere
and at last ... custom cockpit ( because it is in the center
ehh i suggest making backup every 15 minutes or when something wqs achieved like improving the speed or maneuverability or adding bomb bay or whatever you find important addition )
like
p-38 Wip stage 1
p-38 wip stage 2
p-38 wip stage 3
p-38 systems stage
p-38 customs ( gear and cockpit)
p-38 details
p-38 finish then upload
just create your names and numbers
so as an example after adding a custom landing gear ... save it as p-38 landing gear +
that would remember you what was special about that file ...without loading it
then delete the useless numbered saves
keep the ones that changed the maneuverability and performance ..rename them if you want
i used to end up with 20 files per creation ...but after getting a new phone , the chances of glitches and crashes was lowered
@Visify You're welcome
@Spinnes yeah it kept on messing up for some reason. Ty
@FennVectorCWA I used to play that game sometimes few years ago lol. np thanks for the spotlight !
Engine 1 ...Engine ...2 ...nose wheel steering
sounds like Il-2 sturmovik controls ...
ehhh ...comples engine controls ...i miss that game
thanks for your effort :D
@saturn28 thanks!
@TheOwlAce Ty
@pushthelimits thankyuuu
@MrMecha Ik still editing it XD
Great job!
@Visify Impressive replica!
