The request from Remaker65998
The Yakovlev Design Bureau used the Yak-40 as a model and enlarged it to design a 100-seat passenger aircraft that was longer than the Yak-40 but also had a T-shaped tail and three engines. The first Yak-42 prototype with a main wing sweep angle of 11 degrees made its first flight in March 1975. The initial Yak-42 joined the Soviet civil aviation in 1980 and began to partially replace the Tu-134 passenger aircraft. About a year later, the first derivative model Yak-42ML was launched. The basic specifications are the same as the Yak-42 used on domestic flights, except that the interior of the aircraft cabin is more comfortable.
The Yak-42D was launched in 1988. It has a higher net weight and more advanced avionics equipment. The D model has a fully loaded range of 2,200 kilometers, and the interior of the aircraft cabin is better than the prototype. From 1989 to the discontinuation of production in 2002, the Yak-42D was the only mass-produced model on the production line.

@Salah001XTripleVage ATR42 is because the number of yak42 is the same as that of atr42. I am used to only typing the number instead of the name of the aircraft. The same goes for other things.
