AG3 Deploy Missiles
A low profile modular missile compartment for use on builds, excellent for beginners starting out, and medium level builders. It can be placed on flat surfaces of builds as all collisions have been disabled. More experienced players can also try tuning the collisions with the OVERLOAD mod.
Tips on part usage, and the modular building method
Save the part as a SUB ASSEMBLY, don't worry about giving me credit for the build, it's so you can grow as a builder, you'll probably build your own version as you get better.
Place a 2x5 fuselage part on where you want it to go on your project as a PLACEHOLDER, you'll be deleting this part, but it's so you know where you're going to place your missile bay.
When you are happy with where you placed the place holder, write down the X,Y and Z location and then delete the place holder. You can also keep the place holder there, but it's main goal is so you know where your are going to place your missile bay. A major problem with Simple Planes is parts tend to stick to things they're not supposed too, ruining moving parts. This method will prevent that problem.
Load the Missile Bay you saved as a SUB ASSEMBLY somewhere near the build but DO NOT INSTALL IT directly on to your build. This could cause the inner workings of the missile bay to stick to the build. At this point the Missile Bay should not be attached to the build.
Instead move the Missile Bay Sub Assembly on the the X,Y, and Z of place holder by going to the part position settings, select "CONNECTED PARTS", and then enter in the values for the X,Y and Z of the place holder, This will move the missile bay as a whole unit, you may have to move it up the Y axis just a little once its in position.
Once you're happy with it's placement go to the ATTACHMENT screen, and attach the MIDDLE part of the Missile Bay to your build, it the casing that the missiles and all the parts sit it. DO NOT ATTACH THE Doors, or any of the moving parts as it will not work.
Happy building, -Echo
Thank you so much
@EchoWhiskey11 same
@EchoWhiskey11 cool thanks
@MrShenanigans I build a lot of modular parts, mainly because I'm a lazy American. As I go along, I'm going to start releasing the easy to install ones as free use parts for builders.
@MrShenanigans Of course, use it as needed, no credit is necessary. If anything it's so the next group of builders keep this community going with even more epic builds.
