sup guys, your favourite miko is back :P

BACKGROUND

The La Isa is a Battleship built for, and operated by the Royal Muan Navy as a capital ship until it was sunk by the Gra Valkas Empire during the New World War.

THE STORY

This ship is for a Japanese novel known as "Nihonkoku Shoukan"(ENG: Japan Summons/Summoning Japan) , it is a story about the entirety of Japan being "transferred" to a new world filled with magic and other fantastical phenomena, using their understanding of modern science and their now superpower level military, Japan must traverse this new world, one way or another.

This is mainly a military story for all of us military nerds.

    Official evaluation

    - First Impression (4/5):

The ship looks excellent, perfectly captures the essence of a pre-dread (it seems to be heavily based on the Indiana-class battleships, with a few creative liberties taken here and there)
The only things I had problem with was the very slow speeding up and the barren decks with close to no details. But other than these, I liked it.

    - Design/Accuracy (12/15):

As mentioned above, the ship seems to be based on the Indiana-class but with some changes here and there. Overall, it's design is good, very authentic.
The thing I think was kind of over the top was the multiple propellers on one shaft. While the technology itself did exist around the time, I couldn't find any examples of this being fitted on a pre-dreadnought battleship, tho I also understand that the ship is based on an anime where technology gets mixed up a bit (if the uploader can provide an example I'm willing to give an extra point)
The base of the main turrets being painted the same color as the deck was also a bit unusual, it would have been better if they were painted in the steel color of the ship.
The anchor is also too large. The portholes also seem to be a bit too big.

    - Details (10/15):

The ship features some pretty nice details such as modeled anchor chains, railings and rigging as well as a pretty neatly made flag.
I also liked the addition of torpedo netting poles on the sides and the tumblehome hull as well.
The decks however are scarcely detailed, there are a few skylights and some lifeboats but other than those, nothing else. The flag also seems to be floating in midair, either because the builder forgot to move it in place or because they forgot to add a rigging line there.

    - Features (12/20):

The vessel has all usable main, secondary and tertiary battery which are controlled by a neat system of AGs that allows you to train them either to port or starboard which I think was a clever solution without having to use a complicated FT system.
However, there were no torpedo tubes, nor was there any extra features such as a bridge interior. Steering is also solved using a gyro instead of an actual rudder, whereas the rudder while being modeled, doesn't turn.

    - Build Quality (6/10):

The builder used a few part saving solutions and overall managed to achieve a very good and low part count.
Unfortunately, I noticed some mistakes such as the main mast's rigging going through the stern and coming out below. It was also a bit strange that the builder solved flotation with very small buoyancy blocks outside of the ship, rather then hiding them inside the hull along the edge.
The bow bulge also doesnt smoothly flow into the hull.

    - Performance (14/20):

The ship's gaining of speed is very very slow, I understand that it was meant ot be realistic, but I feel like it's not the most fun like this, a good middle ground would have been better. The steering is good tho.
The guns have realistic reload as well, the main guns take ages to reload of which I'm once again not the fan of but I understand they were meant to be realistic. Their rotation was also realistically slow but they were okay.
The AGs to train the guns to one side or the other was rather well usable, however, the lack of any aiming system makes long range gunnery difficult. The ship needs some time to settle on the ocean mod but after that, it handles the waves fairly okay.

    - Description and Information (12/15):

The description was pretty okay, it contained all the necessary information and featured some nice images such as a propaganda poster. I also liked that the creator used a black and white edited photo on the thumbnail which was a nice detail.
I did feel the description to be a bit too short, some more screenshots would have made it much better in my opinion.
