Beechcraft-18
Beechcraft 18 from the Scene in the James Bond film, Octopussy from 1983
This is my replica of the Beechcraft Model 18, one of the iconic American heritage, with over 9000 built. I have made the size, speed, and instruments as close as possible. Although it is a replica, it is an easy-flying plane. I enjoyed flying it. I tried to make the size similar to the original, but it is about nearly 3 feet (or 1 meter) larger overall, since it is hard to manage the blueprint.
Features:
- Realistic smoke from the exhausts
- custom landing gear, and the doors
- six seating interior
- Flaps down (VTOL Down) while landing for more stability
- Top speed 250 mph
Avionics from the 1940s
2 Bladed prop with a radial (piston) engine
Realistic exhaust smoke
Flaps down (control by VTOL)
History:
"The Beechcraft Model 18 (or "Twin Beech", as it is also known) is a 6- to 11-seat, twin-engined, low-wing, tailwheel light aircraft manufactured by the Beech Aircraft Corporation of Wichita, Kansas. Continuously produced from 1937 to November 1969 (over 32 years, a world record at the time), over 9,000 were built, making it one of the world's most widely used light aircraft. Sold worldwide as a civilian executive, utility, cargo aircraft, and passenger airliner on tailwheels, nosewheels, skis, or floats, it was also used as a military aircraft."

@WinsWings also, the windows And the interior don’t accurately match the real thing

@99807 Thank you for your comment. I am glad that you like it. I have to build a float plane variant of this Beechcraft-18, which can land and take off very nicely from water. I will tag you if you want
THANK YOU SO MUCH i’ve been waiting years for someone to make a good Beech 18 so I can fly it around like Matt Younkin’s version and now I finally can :)
