The AQG-02 was a fighter plane, used mainly by Russia/Soviet Union, and by India, during the Cold War. Its first prototype was made in early 1937, First flight in late 1937, First unit sold in 1941. This aircraft was a success in Russia. It was designed by Santos Aquino to be a Fighter Plane, but when the first units arrived in Russia, the Russians decided to make it a Fighter-Bomber, which was much more efficient. I49 AQG-02s were delivered to Russia, 21 to India, 32 to Germany and 18 to China. It was a success, but its activities were suspended in 1952, with a great history. In its use, it shot down several enemy aircraft, totaling 102 aircraft destroyed. When it was withdrawn from service, only 65 examples of this aircraft remained. 6 of them are in museums.
