The P1A2 is a main battle tank developed for the Federation Ground Forces.

P3M2s have no definite name in modern military doctrines

However, the Federation calls these tanks "Tank destroyer"/"Heavy Battle Tank"

Unlike P3M2s, P1A2s were developed as Main Battle tanks

Development

The Federation hoped to update its MBT-22M2s to the "MBT-22M3 Art II" version in late 2022, but the project was cancelled.

Although the reason for the cancellation of the project is unknown, some bribery incidents allegedly convinced the Federation to design a new tank.

It is claimed that the design of the tank was one of the first prototypes of the MBT-22M2 in the FLCS project, and then it was made this way after a long development process.

General characteristics

APS Systems:
*IronShield Active Protection system used in the tank was originally developed by New Athua for domestically produced tanks.

A licensed version of IronShield is also used on the P1A2

New Athua is famous for its electronic and optical systems and has achieved great export success since "Vera Tension"

Firepower:
The P1A2 also uses the Crewler L/100-M2A cannon, a more reduced power version of the Crawler L/100-M2 gun used in the P3M2.
