Production started 2018
This unique piece of tech is a co-op with our designers at Eagle Tech and the makers of the typhoon. The specter is a inverted wing with canards and conventional elevators. The canards weren’t generating enough lift so we added a elevator in between the rudders. This also had a beneficial side effect of making the plane track straighter. We found that the reliable but underpowered turbo fan the British wanted to use was not providing enough thrust for Mach 1.5 and P-to-W ratio when loaded with ordinance. To solve this problem we substituted our own engine that provides double the power output. To our surprise the airframe came out lighter than we predicted. At 30.000+ it will exceed the speed requirements the British set for the project.
The British eventually added a multi purpose radar to the plane giving it ground attacking capabilities. We equipped this plane with a 70mm x14 rocket pod and 2; 1000Lb X040, RGRPBs (Radar Guided Rocket Propelled Bomb)
The Spector also has a Aston 20mm auto Gatling Cannon. Instead of a regular Gatling cannon we replaced each barrel with a auto cannons and gave it almost double the fire rate of a normal 20mm cannon. Due to over heating ( witch happens pretty quickly despite the rotating barrels) This gives it a very high fire rate of 150 RPS, or 9,000 RPM! Due to the sever heat buildup we electronically limited it too; 2 second bust,Too prevent destruction of the cannon and any other near by components.
The air to air missiles are NATO standard heat seeking missiles and radar guided missiles.
