Introduction
So this was inspired by the Hawk and the F4 among other things (lightning style undercarriage for instance). I wanted something fun to fly, while also being a slimline version of the F4 so this is the outcome. As you can see i started this so long ago I cant even remember what i was going to call it...
Yes it is cabable of pulling some serious G but i wanted it with the all flying tail so you could get the snap of pitch directional changes (in real life you wouldnt just haul back and leave it that way anyway)
Controls
AG1 = reheat
AG2 = brake 'chute
AG4 = airbrake
AG7 = Nav lights
VTOL dn = slats and flaps
LG = landing gear and sequenced doors

Nice livery and nice aircraft, well done.
@RamboJutter Ah alright. I like having soft suspension because it feels nice on landing. The F-5 has a really long suspension travel for such a small aircraft so I modeled that on mine
@asteroidbook345 Thanks =) The main wheels are definately lightning, i just reversed the sides so they retract backwards instead of forwards to help with the COG balance. I didnt add any suspension as such, just for decoration hence it is a bit hard on landing (i find that suspension is more hassle than its worth on relatively light aircraft or very heavy aircraft)
@ChiChiWerx Thanks, i really appreciate the review and your comments, im glad you liked it as well. I just wanted something that wasnt so serious (or armed to the teeth) for a change. Just to clarify things, SP counts vertical surfaces when it calculates wing loading, so if you delete the actual fin/vertical stab from the build it gives a better representation of the actual wing loading (73 lbs/sq ft in this case)
I feel like the suspension could be a bit softer, but it's very fun to fly.
Not gonna lie...I like this. I like it a lot. It reminds me of a RL T-38. I really, really like how a substantial pitch up is required at liftoff. T:W is realistic, though IMHO the wing loading is a bit low for this configuration (pointy jet with smallish wing, the T-38 is 60+ lbs/sq ft, this one is less than half that)...eh, perhaps not, given its more of a delta/diamond shaped wing. Overall, I don’t think it’s too maneuverable, in fact, I think the roll rate is a tad slow. But it’s a blast to fly and that’s most important, nice work!
@CrazyPenguin1306 oof yeah....
@Oreo2005 I think you mean updoot...
I feel like the wheels look like more like an F-5 than a lightning, but it's very cool
Awesome livery!
