The T-45 Goshawk Naval Training Aircraft
The T-45 was McDonnel Douglas' entry to a contract by the US Navy(later also the Marine Corps), and it won, currently it operates on US Carriers to do live carrier landing and takeoff training. The Goshawk was introduced in 1991 and will hopefully be in service until the mid 2030s. 221 units were built.
The airplane was based off the T-1 Hawk, but had to be heavily modified in collaboration with BAe to create a stronger airframe and carrier capabilities.
