Originally designed by Scottishjocks here is one of the most widely produced versions of the Fork Tailed Devil. The P-38F was operated by the USAAF in both the European and Pacific Theatres / Theaters in both the Air Superiority and Ground Attack roles. Later versions of the P-38 with added fuel enhancements were used as Little Friends or Bomber Escorts as anybody who plays the PC Game B-17 The Mighty Eighth will be very familiar with. The Royal Air Force trialed P-38s out during 1943 but only two were ever painted in RAF markings. One even fell into Axis hands and was operated briefly by Luftwaffe KG 200 until 1944 when it was understood to have been accidentally written off.

@KingDeadshot I'm off to check Sky Gamblers out. Somebody else I know has mentioned it too having also left War Thunder behind.
@KingDeadshot Thank you I will take you up on that offer. I lasted two weeks playing War Thunder and my patience with the Pay to Progress dependency just snapped after that short time!
@KingDeadshot The impression I get of SP is that it takes time patience and learning to get ahead in this game. Now that appeals to me however I can understand how others may find these factors frustrating ... Success comes over time not over night - beats SP being pay to progress like War Thunder is an example of any day! :o)
@KingDeadshot Thank you very much - respect to attaining Gold SP User status though as that cannot be easy :o)
@KingDeadshot Hello again and thanks for supporting another of my contributions. When I can next upload again there are two more P-38s to come and one is modded and tweaked by me - it's carrying RAF evaluation markings as well.
@Sunnyskies Thank you for your supportive comment and upvote. I have my own P-38J now ready for downloading and sharing based on this aircraft by my friends. Watch This Space :o)
Somehow, this P-38 has nearly perfect performance!
