The B-24 Liberator is one of the most overshadowed aircraft of The Second World War. While the B-17 may get all of the credit, the B-24 was faster, could fly higher and further, and could carry more. More Liberators were produced than any other American aircraft of WWII. In fact, at the Ford Willow Run plant, there was one B-24 being produced per hour. The Liberator flew on both the Western Front and the Pacific, and served with distinction in the level bombing, anti shipping, and even dive bombing roles. AG1+VTOL: bomb bays AG2: Jettison Bombs AG5+VTOL: flaps AG7: waist gunner parachutes (it was done) AG8+VTOL: landing gear.
