U-2 Dragon Lady (VR)
"The Lockheed U-2, nicknamed 'Dragon Lady', is an American single-jet engine, high altitude reconnaissance aircraft operated by the United States Air Force (USAF) and previously flown by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). It provides day and night, high-altitude (70,000 feet, 21,300 meters), all-weather intelligence gathering." This aircraft is still a bit of a work in progress, and the cockpit is based off of NASA's version--the ER-2. While in real life the orange skids on the wings fall off on take off, here you'll have to release them yourself with the yellow switch on the lower left panel in the cockpit or "2" on a keyboard. You can get up to 70,000 feet in game, but (like the real aircraft) its not easy to stay at that altitude. Landing is also quite the challenge as there is only one front and rear landing gear. Awesome you did a great job
@BarrowAircraft Same here, such a cool plane. Had trouble figuring out just which cockpit to use but think the ER-2 offered a good amount of upgrades from the cold war era but still had more of an old school feel to it
Good Job! The U-2 is one of my favorite planes! And excellent work on the cockpit!
