I can do science and so can you! FLIP (FLoating Instrument Platform).

This is the US Navy science vessel, semi-submersible, 'flips' 90 degress - underwater!

Activaton 1 and VTOL down to rotate. It is a bit slow due to surface tension, but there are many cameras in order to watch the transformation. The cabin and infrastructure is desinged to operate in the horizontal and verticlle...

Once done, VTOL to middle, Activation 1 off and hit the throttle.
Use VTOL to turn/naviagate and thrusters rotate 180 degress, so one can stop pretty much instantly if required.

Enjoy
SR.

I was just waiting for someone to make this thing in SP. (I'm not nearly good enough to do it myself) Love this ship, it's so awesome. Saw the real thing in a documentary some time ago.
