@Lifewald Welp, too late to get a proper bomber into his colors. Besides, Zhongli as an overall character is a "vintage" man. He almost always goes with the old fashioned methods and things of Liyue.
The Tomcat speaks volumes of him imo. It's an old fighter, but it can still somewhat hold it's own in the modern age. Just like Zhongli himself, despite the loss of his gnosis.
And for a counter to your opinion about him being better as a bomber: I don't see him spamming his ult like how a strategic bomber drops it's payload in ripples
Another thing about Zhongli is that when it comes to his tastes, he's pretty extravagant. The Tomcat's swing-wing feature is no short of being one too. Expensive man = Expensive fighter to maintain. You get what I mean.
