Introduction: The YF-25A "Neptune" is a borderline 5th gen aircraft carrying many advanced features such as EMLs and TLSs. It is extremely versitaile and manouverable. Carries 2 main machineguns, 1 built in TLS, 2 built in EMLs, 6 LRAAMs, 4 ATGMs, 1 Cruise Missle and 64x countermeasures.
Development: The YF-25A originated from a test program by the USAF to find a new, relatively cheap aircraft to replace most other planes. Lockheed Martin developed the Neptune is 3 years and 2 prototypes were made, 1 armed and 1 unnarmed. The armed model saw live combat testing in the middle east and, while very effective, was soon discontinued. The unnarmed model crashed on flight testing during a thunderstorm, the pilot thankfully survived the crash.
