[Version 2.0] Kocherigin OPB M-90
A re-make of a plane I built over a year ago. This dive bomber is a bit obscure, but it could have had great potential if it entered service.
Features:
AG-1 - .50 cal UBS machine guns
AG-2 - .30 cal ShKAS machine guns
VTOL Slider (Up) - Dive brakes
VTOL Slider (Down) - Flaps
History:
OPB stands for Odnomotornyj Pikirujuschij Bombardirovschik, single-engine dive bomber. Low-wing monoplane with inverse gull wing. Single 1,000lb bomb is mounted under fuselage, or alternatively, a single 500lb bomb and two 200lb bombs under the wings.
Construction - composite. Wing spars - steel/duralumin, front section of fuselage - duralumin, tail section - plywood. Tailplane and fin - duralumin, elevators and rudder - with fabric cover.
Cooling air was supplied to the engine by central air intake (like on early Fw-190 prototypes). Fuel tanks - protected.
Project started in 1938 for the installation of the brand-new Tumansky M-90 engine. Aircraft was finished in 1941, but the power plant was not ready. Kocherigin’s team started to re-engine the OPB for the available Tumansky M-82A, but in the beginning of 1942, the project was cancelled and the design bureau was disbanded.

Thanks! @Trainzo
A nice plane a little better known thanks to you . Good job .
@AircraftoftheRedStar You're welcome!
Yeah that’s the problem. It could be a drawing, but it was actually built. I can’t decide. @Strikefighter04
Thank you! @Audiobotguy03
Nice build, I like the detail you put in to this! : )
That so looks like a drawing!
