About the Bearcat

Grumman F8F Bearcat is considered to be the last American Piston Engine fighter plane, manufactured in the end of WWII. Therefore it was designed around the lessons the Americans learned during WWII. They understood that they need a plane with a high climb rate, so it was designed around the most powerful engine the Americans had (P&W R-2800), with the most light Airframe as possible.

It had Record-Breaking performance with great high speed maneuverability (especially a great roll rate) and a top speed of 455 mph because of its high power/weight ratio. It's performance were even competitive against early jet fighters.

It was armed with 4xAN/M3 20mm cannons (4x50.cal BrowningM2 machine guns in early models). It didn't saw combat in WWII, but later it fought in the French-Indochinese war and in Vietnam war.(Flown by south Vietnam).
later, it was operated as a record-breaking racing plane.

About creating it

It took me a lot of effort to build this plane . It took me four days and hours of work, but they where hours full of fun and it challenged me a lot.

So thank you guys and have fun with this plane, I recommend you to try dogfighting with it, fly it from a carrier(and return to land on it as well), Race with it and you can even put a bomb or rockets on it for a convoy hunt/ a fleet strike.

Please upvote it if you liked it, spotlight it if you think that others should see it, feel free to ask or mention anything in the comments, and follow me for more planes and creations in the future.

Thanks for your support, It keeps my hard work motivated.

If you want it in more paint Schemes/ weapon Loads, leave a request for me and I'll try to do it for you.

@ChromeGamer25 That's funny, Actually I just wanted to take a photo of the Bearcat against an early jet, but I chose one of my creation because I didn't wanted to steal someone else's credit by sharing photos of his plane for my creations. And after all, it proved to be a noticeable sneak peek...

Nice, especially at only 253 parts...accelerates a little fast, but that’s a byproduct for f overcoming SP drag physics. Can tell lots of effort went down to this one

Nice, did you know the tips of the propeller on the Bearcat travel at supersonic speeds. It explains its unique sound in real life.
