The M330 is a rotary autocannon module designed for use on mechs, and to fulfill the role of a heavy, yet compact, machine gun module. It is compatible with various hardpoints, depending on the assembly chosen.

DESIGN

The M330 hull design is based on two hexagonal prisms.

The larger section is armored, and contains the ammunition drums and the cooling systems for the gun, while the smaller section contains the gun itself.

The systems included in the large upper section varied largely with models and variants. However, most units used a standard multi-drum internal design.

Expended shells are ejected from the outer side of the gun.

USES

The M330 is mainly used in close and medium range armor-to-armor combat. It has been installed on a variety of mechs and conventional armored vehicles.

There are heavier variants which include two gun modules. Some users also use the gun but use a different ammunition store and feed system.

PRODUCTION

The M330 is mass-produced in a semi-built-to-order scheme. An estimated 800 to 1,200 units have been produced since 2040.

Militaries and police departments may purchase M330 units. Large private organisations may purchase M330 units, but must not have any criminal history or affliation.

The telemetry of commercial variants are constantly monitored and recorded. These variants are one of the first weapons to be electronically locked in populated areas, military bases, ASTIND. facilities, and other facilities under the AMC Protection Program.
