The Bagel Racer
The Bagel Racer
I've wanted to have my own built off-road car in SP, suitable for multiplayer races and other events. I'm a fan of hobby r/c cars, so it was only natural I build one based on my own. This racer is modeled similar to the Arrma Fury Mega, a fun 2WD all-terrain r/c car. Of course, I made this one 4WD, more powerful, and really fun to use.

Fun Story
Another Incident just like this happened in this video.
In multiplayer, a bunch of us thought it would be a smart idea to race around Rattlesnake Racetrack. If you don't know, there are a few problems. One, the chat doesn't always cooperate, so starting can be tricky. Two, Rattlesnake has a steep hill that is trouble for most realistic vehicles. And three, the physics are rather funny but unpredictable, so the slightest bump into someone usually results in an explosion.
Anyway, we started the race and took off. I made it to around second or third, driving 115 mph along the Rattlesnake ridge. However, right on my six is another person (name escapes me, sorry). I speed up but inevitably have to slow down to make the curve and not fly off the edge. Tapping the brakes, my car decelerates to around 90 mph, but the other person keeps going and hits me. Both cars lurch forwards, my rear suspension system getting destroyed, and their car a fiery mess. Whoops. No hurt feelings, everyone thought it was rather funny.
This actually happened with this car, not the one in this post. Guess you get two for the price of one.

Racer Notes
This car takes zero fall damage. That is because every part's collision response is set to None. Demonstration from the Pyramid of ET:
It's also really fun for Sky Park, as it can bash into everything with no damage. Rather quite fun to ram AI with it too.
The handbrakes are XMLed airbrakes that will pull the car in the chosen direction. They are a bit tricky to use, sometimes resulting in the car spinning in circles. More for fun spins after finishing a race.
Top speed 165mph. Does not float.
Weeeeeee!

Boom!
Haven't seen this before, a floating fire truck?
Not bad for my first car, but if anyone has some advice on how to achieve better performance, say something! Thanks for stopping by!

i just realize the "kill count" near left brake light lol
@ElevatorEnthusiast488 not for collision responses. It’s beneficial to duplicate the same part over and over so that you don’t have to waste time typing in the values over and over.
@BagelPlane Interesting. Is there a way to edit multiple parts at once? Because going piece by piece is very tedious. I'm on ios by the way.
@ElevatorEnthusiast488 Every part collision response is set to the value of none.
How did you make it so durable? Even when it gets blown up the parts don't break.
@BagelPlane ahh ok
@KingOog000 Oh man, it’s a kinda crude joke that some people put on their cars in real life. It marks how many people you’ve hit, like roadkill. All a joke though.
@BagelPlane I have a question, what is that 5 tally marks for the standing up human and the 3 tally marks for the wheelchair human?
@BagelPlane ah ok
@KingOog000 It's a part of the fueling mod by Gestour.
Wait, fire trucks???
@Chancey21 Oh cool! Bit busy right now, will test it out later!
@BagelPlane
Try this updated version:
Updated Bagel Racer
With better tuned suspension
Faster steering
Better wheel traction
Slight lift
More realistic acceleration
My personal taste in paint scheme ;)
@Chancey21 Thanks for the feedback! I really didn’t know what I was doing, the whole vehicle is based directly on my Arrma Fury short course truck.
B A G E L
Great vehicle, very well built
Significant under steer for a performance focused truck
Suspension should have been double wishbone
Springs need to be weaker with less dampening force for high speed desert racing, they are adequate for speeds under 80 mph
@BagelPlane XD, why is it suddenly become that
@WarshipDude In multiplayer I actually (accidentally) ran over someone using a human walker.
i shall ruin that perfect even number
@BagelPlane
Disappointed because it don't have a bagel on it
Because, well, you know. "bagel racer"
I have no comment otherwise. It's a good ... it's a good one.

@Tabris Go ahead!
@BagelPlane I'm wondering if I could use this and make another version of it
@BagelPlane its literally indestructible!!
