Lockleed F-192-RE
for the part efficiency challenge
read as much of the history section as you can, there is valuable information and features expressed in this section, mainly in the service record section.
history
The lockleed F-192-RE was a high speed fighter aircraft designed in 1990 by the lockleed corporation as requested by the us military. A contract was given for 30 trial variants and given to the 112th squadron, 314th air division, know as the phantom squadron.
development
In early 1988 the us military went to the main aircraft company's of Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and lockleed to create a high speed fighter to help the all new F/A 18. The company's were given 2 years to develop a design and submit them for trials. The lockleed and grumman jets were the stand outs and were given contracts for 30 aircraft each to be used in active duty service to see how they can contend.
active service record
The lockleed's performance was very nice, and was a strong selling point for the aircraft. Speed without afterburners at 28,000ft was amazing, 1161mph. High speed maneuverability was very good for such a large and heavy aircraft, and protection from air and ground threats was adequate. The 112th squadron was very happy with the initial results of the aircraft, but after 2 months, the problems started to arrive. The first one that the pilots expressed was the fact the the weight was to far back, making the front gear bearly on the ground, making takeoffs risky. Another is the softness of the suspension, this is a major fault that can make landings very difficult, and even caused 2 crashes, none were fatal. The largest fault is the engine, the fuel efficiency is very horrid, with 2000+ gallons of fuel and at full power fuel has been seen to last only around 30-45minutes. With these faults the lockleed F-192-RE was scrapped from the running. In total only 25 survived the 3 month trial, with the 2 crashes, and the 3 sea variants suffering landing crashes.

builders note:
Yes there are some things wrong with the plane, but the sooner we can call them quirks the sooner we can agree that this is still a pretty nice aircraft. I have made another variant, the sea variant as requested by someone on discord, I forget who it was but I have done it
And here it is the sea variant
Enjoy your flights with this thing, because landing is, well, dangerous. (IT DOES DRIFT TO THE RIGHT ON TAKEOFF)
