WW2-Solid Build Challenge [CLOSED]
(Solid build aka Solid cockpit)
For your inspiration...
Jankers Ju287 Replica
Kalinin-k29- Fictional
Hello Friends,
Cockpit details are fantastic, but sitting in a cockpit is not as fun as seeing the airplane in action - So, for the love of planes, I am calling you hard-core SimplePlane lovers to join the Original SimplePlane Solid Build Challenge-
instructions
1) No cockpit interiors are needed; build any World War 2 era planes
2) Flat wings are okay, but more proportionate builds will score more
3) Replica as well as fictional ones are welcome -
4) If you are building a replica, be sure it is in a World War two era plane. If you don't know, go do the homework. (which is part of the game - I respect people who are reading and learning - :P) Yes, there were a few jets in WWII. So if you choose to build fictional ones, make sure they are 1st generation Jets (Meteor, Me262, Me163, Horton, and so on)
5) Keep it under 250 parts; some points will deduct if it is more than 250 parts
Judging:
1) Overall look - 10 points
2) handling characteristics; does it fly nicely on a straight path? - 10 points
3) Historical facts - 10 points ( Extra points for the rear and experimental planes )
4) Has to be a successor
5) extra photos, and showing the love...making things interesting,,,

I try my best to judge the builds from the engineering point of view - and believable the built (no matter replica or fictional) gets more points. Speed, engine placements and historical accuracy gain more points.
I am upvoting you all as soon as I can. Thank you very much for joining.
@ChamDel78 Yes, of course, LCD panels came out in the 80s (may be 70s), before that, they use CRT (Cathode Ray Tubes) you can see in the old war movies... heavy bulky staff
@WinsWings No display in cockpit
What do you mean? No fighter jets in WW2 ??? @ChamDel78
@WinsWings how did you like my Historic fact: WW2 Planes don’t have fighter jet display
:D
@Planeplant congrats buddy!
No problem @Planeplant
Yay @WinsWings
Thanks! Yay@PlaneGuy01
@WinsWings Ok. I have an historic fact. WW2 Planes don’t have fighter jet display
@Planeplant gonrats bro :)
It is.a nice plane to fly. But 900mph is too fast for WW2, which the haven’t passed the sound barrier (764mph) at that time. And no prop fighters do. That’s why. Historic facts bring you points @ChamDel78
I am fine with honorable mentions
@WinsWings who won tho?
@WinsWings I am on other side of globe and it is 23rd at me. So, is it closed?
@WinsWings Ok, I will patiently wait.
@ChamDel78 i am in New York, which time zone in GMT-7 and people still get time to upload. I will close tonight (which will be 23rd on other side of the globe)
It is closed now. And, I wanna see the beautiful Results, please
No worries. I do not count on the vote, I look into individual build @Raiquaza19AirComp
@WinsWings i might upload my entry to the last minute. I hope the winning piece doesn't base on number of votes. ⊙﹏⊙
Make sure to tag me when the results are here. :)
I am spotlighting the nice ones right away!!!!
@Raiquaza19AirComp Yes, as said, only solid cockpits only for this challenge.
@Umbreonplant up to three entries are okay. Only one best entry will count for a person. Thanks
