AN-22SH Never Built Challenge
The AN-22 airplane made its first flight on the 27th of February 1965. The crew was headed by test pilot Yurii Kurlin. Owing to high flight performance and the ability to operate from unpaved runways, the AN-22 found wide application in the USSR national economy for delivering large-size cargoes and equipment to remote and hard-to-reach areas. Large cargo capacity and range, engine fuel efficiency and self-sufficiency ensured high profitability of operation. The AN-22 was serially built at the Tashkent Aviation Plant in Uzbekistan. A total of 66 airplanes were manufactured from 1965 to 1976. Since 1980, Antei had been using for transportation of oversized components for construction of the AN-124 Ruslan and AN-225 Mriya. The wing center section of the AN-124 Ruslan heavy transport airplane was manufactured at aviation plant in Tashkent. To deliver the aggregate to ANTONOV COMPANY (that time - Aeronautical Scientific and Technical Complex named after O.K.Antonov) it was mounted on top of the AN-22 fuselage. The aggregate travelled on Antei’s back from Tashkent to Kyiv, the place of AN-124 final assembly. Then the outer wing panel was delivered in the same way. Antei made more than 100 flights for transportation of wings for Ruslan airplanes. In 1987, the wing center section and outer wing panels for the AN-225 Mriya, the world’s largest super-heavy aircraft, were also transported. In 1997, AN-22 delivered the wing for AN-140 from Kharkiv to Kyiv, and in 2004, the wing for AN-148 airplane manufactured at ANTONOV COMPANY was delivered on the same route. This plane did not go into production because in real life such a plane would definitely not fly. The description was about an ordinary an 22, and an an 22 sh has only one drawing and everything else was made up.

ok im back
@LimesLusania
- Originality:
10/10
(I didn't even know about this concept beforehand, and this is obviously the only An-22SH on the site [i checked to make sure])- Looks:
13/15
(it's excellent, I really like it! It just needs fuselage smoothing)- Performance:
13/15
(flies really stable, the only issues I have are that the landing gear's shaky on the ground, and that the wing pieces pop out of the fuselage wings in flight)- Features:
5/5
(the only feature a cargo plane has is, well, carrying cargo, and your plane looks like it can do that)- Overall:
41/45
(you have the most points so far, good work!)@LimesLusania only on the one i plan to release soon. Current version of controls was not yet released.
I'll post you when its done
@vonhubert Are NK-12 engines in your latest planes?
@LimesLusania will do in some weeks, i think
@Graingy :)
@LimesLusania I will bring this thing into existence through sheer willpower alone.
It has the ass of a queen bee and that is magnificent
@Graingy This is a project that did not go into production.
Why is he so thick
@vonhubert So if you want you can improve my aircraft
Hi! i've made qute complex NK-12 engines with funky trees control system and slow realistic startup procedure, they are prop pitch controleld with custom throttle governor code, sinchronisation of prop speeds, reverse and auto prop feathering. Do you need it? May share if you want. Can also provide an autopilot and cockpit intruments for it)
@Micmekox Да.
@SemedianIndustries no
"Big ass"🗿
How chonky do you want this plane to be?
Of course.
Everyone's mother according to the internet
