The ACI-A-229 is long-range, supersonic strategic bomber, made to replace the Death whale with those being converted to [REDACTED]. It carries a payload of 16x 800-pound bombs, and 8x Ballistic missiles and has so far seen two uses in combat and has proven to be very effective. it was also made because the MDA had no long-range stealth bombers, as the only stealth bomber in service was the tundra terror

Development

when the project was first started, they originally were going to build a stealth bomber more akin to the Death Whale, however, when looking at options, they decided that a flying wing would be the better choice.
The first model was made just after the start of the S-war. It proved in the wind tunnels to be quite a good aircraft, they quickly started working on prototypes and 5 were built. However, the problem was getting the bays to be made in such a way, that it could retain stealth with them open and with ACI HQ wanting it to be done before the war ended, they had to work fast, this however was not to be.

testing

Out of the 5 prototypes built, only 2 survived with one going down due to mechanical failures and the other going down, due to bays not opening, which was a problem that they had constantly had, and they needed to get it fixed. On top of that, several designs had been deemed too bulky and needed to be redone. With the battle of bandit approaching, they realized they were not going to get it done in time to serve, it was eventually finished a few weeks after, just in time to serve one last mission.

Combat history

Only serving in two combat situations, it hasn't been used much but in the late S-war ACI got intel that there was a RCE hideout at Avalanche airport, they knew this was there opportunity. they sent one of the ACI-A-229s and it completed the mission perfectly, dropping its payload on the RCE targets.
Its second mission was during War-K where it successfully it a target over 50 miles out with its missiles, the Grim Reaper was a success.

this plane lacks a lot of its features due to time constraints, I'll make a full version later
it has an unfortunate case of wingtip stall that I couldn't fix in time
