Westland Whirlwind Mk. I
History
The Westland Whirlwind was a Twin Engine Interceptor that was developed during the time the Hawker Hurricane and Supermarine Spitfire were also being made, the Aircraft was ahead of its time integrating 4x20mm Hispano Suiza Cannons with 60 rounds per gun and A Bubble Canopy for all around Visibility. No other Aircraft ever got those until much later in the war. Although the Aircraft was proposed, it wasnt until 1940 the Aircraft flew for the first time. Unfortunately despite how great the aircraft was for its time, it was plagued with numerous problems.
Although the Aircraft had problems, It was still loved by its pilots and was enough to even turn it into CAS aicrafts (often called Whirlibombers). The 2nd prototype Whirlwind showed respectable performance, but that alone wasnt enough to convince the RAF to develop it further. And thus by 1943, they were replaced by faster and Better Aircrafts like the Hawker Typhoons.

Outro
This build was quite hectic. Mainly the body as only few blueprints had the Fuselage only without the Engines showing. And hwen you cross-reference all of them, they dint appear to have the same size abd dimensions. Though i guess that one is acceptable.
Nonethless, it was a satisfying build, especially how its my first Twin Prop Build. And was quite a forgotten Aircraft that was ahead of its time.
Oh btw, this camo is Non-historical as most Whirldwinds had "Forest" ground camos. Only the 2nd Prototype Whirlwind was Bare-Metal. Though it would have Otherwise made the Aicraft Parts heavy if i did work on that camo. So i picked this one instead so my phone could also handle it lol. :P
