Following the loss of the North Wright Island, Wright needed a cheap but reliable bomber plane to help resist and push back against the Krakabloa force in order to prevent a mainland invasion. The 02V3 was built to be cheap, reliable, and strong. Due to the parts it shares with the 01V1, it is easy to mass produce. Special features include a strong cannon for the primary pilot, and a double barrel machine gun for the secondary in the rear, to deter enemies. The secondary pilot also controls the dropping of the bombs.
