Lockhead P-38 Fighter
Japan's Nightmare in World War II P-38 Fighter
The P - 38 fighter ( Lightning ) is an American interceptor and a single-seat twin-hair straight-wing subsonic fighter.
The P - 38 fighter has many excellent features, such as high speed, heavy armor and strong firepower. It is also the only fighter that can compete with Japanese Zero fighter in the early Pacific War, and it is the one that shot down the most Japanese fighter among the US Continental fighter.
The P - 38 fighter plane was developed by Lockheed Company of the United States in 1936 and designed by legend kelly johnson. It was the first military plane developed by the company. The US Army adopted Lockheed's design on June 23, 1937, and the XP - 38 prototype was delivered for use on January 27, 1939. It flew successfully on January 27 and served in 1941. It was widely used in the Pacific battlefield, and its most famous record was shooting down Yamamoto's 56th plane on Bougainville Island.
Power system:
The XP - 38 fighter plane uses two Allison V 1710 - 11 liquid-cooled engines. Because of the two engines, XP - 38 can easily " lift" the turbocharger without affecting the smooth appearance of the whole machine. Because as a large fighter, it is worth the sacrifice of power and the balance of performance. Both engines rotate inward to counteract torque.
Operation
AG1 - Close the cockpit
TRIM - Trim Flaps
AG2 - Augmentation
Weaponry:
The built-in weapons of the P - 38 fighter include an AN - M2 " C" 20mm cannon and four Browning 0.5 inch machine guns mounted on the nose, and a maximum of 1415kg ( 3200 lbs ) of bombs or rockets can be carried under the wing.
If it feels good, please give me some UP.
Please watch.
