Stabilized Gun Demonstrator
Controls are identical to predecessor. The new 1.6 update added gyroscopes. This was intended to allow helicopters to be possible without complex and parts-intensive workarounds or mods. However, a side effect, as pointed out by Supermini555 in a Discord message, was that the gyroscope could be used in place of a powered rotator in order to create a gyroscopically-stabilized cannon. Integration of this technology with my vehicles proved surprisingly easy; since Pitch is used to adjust elevation, modification is only necessary to the cannon. It is my pleasure to bring the first tank in SimplePlanes with a gyroscopically-stabilized main armament. The particular model features stabilization only for elevation; traverse at the moment is unworkable. However, even single-axis stabilization allows for significantly better shoot on the move capabilities. I chose the Victoria since it is the best-looking tank I have, and is visually appealing and distinctive.

Can you do it to mine(please)?
Wow! Works very well! Thanks.
Ok. Thanks!
@Dllama4 Can-do.
Just take the gyro out of my Victoria and modify it to have gun elevation and traverse for T-90.
Gyro stabilized gun for my T-90.
What in particular? @Dllama4
Can you help me with something?
I was working on a prototype gun utilizing gyroscopes for elevation and traverse but it wasn't working. At least you made it!
Thanks! @CRJ900Pilot
Congrats on 100k
That would greatly appreciated if you could but i will not rush you to get it done as of now @Pilotmario
I could. @recker422
I love the idea of it. It has it kinks going up hills but it is absolutely amazing and I was wondering if you could make just the stabilizer on its own as i would like to implement it into some of my future tank builds
Turret traverse is possible, but it's quite iffy, not working on a slope, it tends to go haywire there @AeroEngineering
@Pilotmario lol yeah. We should figure out why traverse doesn't work so we can tell the devs whats wrong so it can be fixed
In my defense, it wasn't publically released. But I suppose we should work on two-axis stabilization. @AeroEngineering
not the first tank in SP to have gyroscopical stabilization, I did it before, but thnaks for showing everyone how it works. i've strugged with traverse too, and even HellFire hasnt found a way to do it, so its not just you.
100KKKKKKKKKKKK :0 @PilotMario
this post gave me an idea!
Im going to use this concept on my T-90.
thanks a lot
Genius!!!
Cool! This means you can realistically make an M1A1 MBT with a realistic turret!
@AverroesIndustries Everyone is going to use Pitch and Roll to control roll from this point forward.
Yeah, great idea!
