Description
The Lockheed Martin X-59 QueSST (Quiet Supersonic Technology) is an American experimental aircraft made to test the feasibility of designs that produce quieter sonic booms. Its fuselage and wings were specifically designed to minimize the effects of shockwaves produced in transonic and supersonic flight. The design of the forward fuselage meant that forward visibility is impossible without use of cameras. First flight is estimated to take place within 2024 or the first half of 2025.
